&lt;p&gt;The Code Administrators Association of Kentucky is happy to announce that registration for the 17th Annual Kentucky Residential Code (KRC) seminars is now open.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;This year&amp;rsquo;s KRC One Day training classes will be on 2018 Kentucky Residential Code and cover three topics (see description below)&amp;nbsp;that have been requested by past attendees of these seminars. The special topics to be presented will cover code and construction requirements, along with pitfalls and problem areas associated with crawl space/conditioned crawl spaces, fire-resistant rated construction and deck construction.&lt;/p&gt;

This seminar reviews and analyzes selected sections from the 2018 KRC. The class intent is to familiarize building officials, fire officials, plans examiners, inspectors, design professionals and contractors with specific areas of the code that are commonly violated. The goal is to assist code users in identifying the specific code requirements, and more importantly, educate users on the correct installation. The session will include under-floor requirements for construction, ventilation, insulation and access. Also addressed will be the fire resistive rated construction requirements in R302, when exterior walls require ratings, testing requirements and selection of appropriate assemblies. The final discussion item will be deck construction with discussion on support, bracing, connections, fasteners and weather protection.&lt;br /&gt;
